What you’ve been up to?
Lately I’ve been drawing a lot of comics... and I’m really thinking of turning them into paintings!
I have put a lot of stickers I painted around the streets lately and I’ve started making some really cool stencils too… But I’m looking forward to doing some more big walls - yeahh!
Can you explain what the Mays Lane Project is about?
Mays Lane is an amazing lane in St Peters that hundreds of graffiti artists have painted in! Each month they exhibit about 5 artists who each do a panel on their wall. It’s really amazing and they have artists form all over the world that come and paint there too. I did a panel there about a year ago it was really fun! There is always lots of cool new art to check out down there... amazing its always so colourful and caaa-razy to check out.
Is there a message or a feeling you try to convey through your work?
Yeah! I mean most of the time I don't think about putting in a msg but there always is it ..it always depends on what I make and the mood I’m in when I make it ... I always like to draw really strong women. That’s really important too me.
Have you ever been in trouble with the law?
Ha haha – that’s a funny question... no not for doing street art tho!
What do you do when a vending machine steals your money?
AHHHH {we edited some of the ‘HHHH’s there were more} HH RRRGHRGRGHRG RRRAA HAHA ARRGHGHGAR FUKIN ASSSHOOOLEEEEE SSSZZZZZZ GRRRR! I don’t use them anymore!
Does the city you live in support your artwork/street art?
Well, yes and no! I mean lots of people are really sweet and compliment my work... even a lot of people I wouldn’t expect to! But I suppose specifically Sydney... it’s ok, I think it's trying to be more open to street art, where as in Melbourne is all the rage... which is awesome! haha :)
Anyway I was really pissed off recently when I was in Newtown and one of my pieces had been painted over by plain white paint, this shop had moved in and repainted it.... sooo dumb as if it’s going to stay white! |
