A talented lady who works in a variety of mediums. Her portfolio is massive, she could fill her own gallery twice over. She's been commissioned for street art projects as well as murals in bars and clubs around Australia. She's a busy lady, we pinned her down long enough to ask her a few questions.

So, Loveariel tell us a little about yourself?
23 year old Sydney fem artist Ariel aka Loveariel aka Bloodwitch. ive got a dog, hes small and wimpy.

What inspires you?
bordom & stomach ulcers. religion, pain, breasts, love and science.

Can you give us an overview of your artwork & what you have been up to?
well i started off very colourful with my works, mostly painting females, stickering and doing a lot of fashion bullshit, but then did a few shows here and there over a 5 year period, and i have just wrapped up a great solo show in Perth Poetry and Prophecies. along with a whole lot of other arty things you know... now im buckling down for my big art tour coming up in June. London/Mexico/L.A/NewYork

Is there a message or a feeling you try to convey through your artwork?
always.

Does the city you live in support and encourage your artwork?
no. but you can’t expect people to understand such complicated things.

What medium would you like to explore and why?

id like to get into land art, i suppose its more of a billionaire hobby, but id like to do like a digital carving into a mountain or something. something that would out last an ice age and confuse civilisations to come.

Describe your workplace/studio/room that create your pieces in?
well i just left the Hibernian House which is a nutso artist commune in the middle of the city, in this amazing 1920s run down old building. you'd swear the devil himself lived there.

Do you have any exhibitions or projects coming up?

well im only doing a few small things in the lead up to June, but ive been focusing a lot on my new band. We are called Eye of the Spider. i write the songs and sing. its pretty fun. We’re doing a small Melbourne tour in April and playing the My Filthy Riot in March. check us   www.myspace.com/theeyeofthespideriscoming
